The Anbanglin Hand-Held Garment Steamer is another clothes steamer that looks less like what it’s purpose is and more like something else. In this case, I thought that it looked quite a bit like one of those old fashioned microphones – but then again, maybe that’s not me because out of all of the fabric steamer reviews I’ve seen, I don’t think anyone has made that comparison.
I did notice, however, that its design not only made it fairly easy to hold and use but also helped prevent my hand coming into contact with steam. I also noticed that it had a stainless steel bucket head which I was not expecting it to have. I thought for sure its head would be all plastic, after all, many of them are nowadays.
The next thing I noticed was that it had a fairly spacious water reservoir. It held about 240 milliliters of water or approximately 8.7 ounces of water. So needless to say, I was really hoping that this thing would deliver steam for a long period of time.
And I have to say I wasn’t disappointed. After about a short 45 second heat-up time, I was able to use this steamer for about approximately 15 minutes or so. That means that this unit has one of the longer steam times. Unfortunately, there were a few problems that negatively impacted that awesome run-time.
One of the problems I encountered with this unit is that it just isn’t the best fabric steamer. Now don’t get me wrong, it’s not horrible or even terrible. It’s just not as powerful as some of the other units I’ve tried – at least, in my opinion. It’s just that I felt like it required a longer run-time to do a job that other steam units may have done in a slightly shorter period of time.
Another thing I really didn’t like about it was that it had a short cord that limited my ability to move around the room with it. Its cord is only about 4-feet long. Sure, that’s not extremely short but is shorter than some comparable steam units that are on the market today.
Everything considered, I think this is still a decent unit that is good for lighter steaming jobs. As long as you don’t expect it to do heavy-duty wrinkle removing, it should serve most people well. I mean, most people aren’t as picky as I am but I’m just trying to keep high standards.
