The Beautural Portable Hand-Held Garment Steamer is the best clothes steamer I’ve had the pleasure of reviewing. at least so far. It’s a 1200-watt steamer that has the power to steam out the wrinkles from a variety of different clothing – including wool, cotton, silk, and polyester. It seems like it did a great job on just about any article of clothing I put in front of it.
However, when it comes to finding the best garment steamer, it’s not only about the power of the steamer. Other things have to be taken into consideration. And one of those things is how much water the unit holds. After all, how much water a steamer holds usually tells you how long it will provide steam.
This unit holds approximately 8.7 ounces of water or 260 milliliters. With this steamer, that will provide you with about 13-minutes of continuous steam. And it doesn’t take very long for it to heat up either. In just about 30-35 seconds, the unit is heated and ready to provide a nice hot blast or continuous flow of steam.
Another thing I really liked about the Beautural garment steamer is that it can be used in any position – both horizontal and vertical – to get the job done. This is because it has an anti-leak system that keeps the water in the tank where it belongs. It’s also easy to use it in any position because it has a tangle-free cord that allows it to be moved in any direction. A very handy feature, if you ask me.
Out of the box, I noticed that the unit I received also had a nice assortment of accessories. It contained a fabric brush, a lint brush, a helpful instruction manual and a measuring cup. I also noticed that this steamer had a stainless steel head. That makes it more durable than many other types of hand-held clothes steamers but it also contributes to the one and only problem I have with it: it’s weight.
By far, this is one of the heaviest garment steam units that I have ever used. Which doesn’t really impact how easy it is to carry it with you while you’re traveling, but may make it more difficult to use for long periods – especially if you have arthritis in your hands. Just something to think about.
Other than that tiny flaw, however, I think this is a great garment steamer. It’s something that I keep finding uses for and I use it on a regular basis. Needless to say, I would highly recommend it for your garment steaming purposes.
