While it did an okay cleaning job with my tile, I don't think it did a very good job with my grout - at least not with the “regular” cleaning mix.

Bona Stone Tile and Laminate Floor Cleaner is a cleaner that’s supposed to be safe for all hard surface floors and is also supposed to be quick drying, at least according to its label. Now I know that Bona has been making floor cleaning products since 1919, so I decided to give this product a chance and see how well it would clean some of the floors in my home.

The first surface I cleaned with this cleaner was the tile floor in my bathroom. Since it isn’t concentrated, I used it full-strength and then took note of how well it cleaned. It did a marvelous job on the floor and did indeed dry quickly. It also left a nice scent and didn’t leave any buildup like some cleaners tend to do. I would have to say that this is one of the best tile floor cleaner products I’ve used. It really did a marvelous job.

After I finished with my tile floor, I then decided to try it out on a few other surfaces. I tried it out on my vinyl and my linoleum floors. As I did with my tile floor, I used it liberally and observed how well it did. While it did do a fine job on both surfaces, on the linoleum it did leave a few streaks. Not a lot but enough for me to take note.

All thing considered, I thought that this was an excellent cleaner and would recommend it for cleaning tile and laminate floors. While it’s not concentrated and is, therefore, a little more expensive than comparable brands, I think this product is worth it.

9.5 Total Score
Bottom Line

I thought that this was an excellent cleaner and would recommend it for cleaning tile and laminate floors.

PROS
  • Cleans well
  • Leaves a nice shine
  • Doesn't leave buildup
  • Big bottle
CONS
  • May streak on some surfaces

Since I’m always on the lookout for the best grout cleaner I can find, I decided to give Hoover Tile & Grout Plus a chance to prove to me how great of a cleaner it is, so I got myself a bottle and put it to the test on some of the tile and grout in my home. Let’s see how it did, shall we?

Since it’s a concentrate, I followed the directions on the bottle and used one ounce of cleaner to each quart of hot water I put in my hard floor cleaner and used it on my bathroom’s tile floors. I noticed that it did a wonderful job of cleaning my tile and grout. It got up all the stains and left my floor looking real good. In fact, it worked so well I decided to put some in a bottle and try to clean the wall tiles and grout in my bathroom – except this time, I just used the solution and a scrub brush and no cleaning machine. The result I got was pretty shocking.

Much to my surprise, this cleaner really cleaned up the wall tile and grout in my bathroom. It just cleaned them right up without a whole lot of scrubbing. And it did it without a harsh chemical smell or a whole lot of elbow grease. Needless to say, I was quite excited.

Of course, I don’t think I would want to use it on anything other than tile and grout. I tried to clean my vinyl floor with it, but it left portions of it kind of dull, so I decided not to finish. And I already know that this cleaner shouldn’t be used with any unsealed surface, so I didn’t test it out on these surfaces. It’s a great tile & grout cleaner, but it’s not for all surfaces.

Bottom Line

It's a great tile & grout cleaner, but it's not for all surfaces.

PROS
  • Nice smell
  • Cleans grout well
  • Biodegradable
  • Concentrated
CONS
  • Not for all floor surfaces

According to the label of Sheiner’s Floor Cleaner Concentrate, it has a couple of things going for it. One, it’s concentrated so it’s supposed to make up to 128-gallons of cleaning solution. Two, it’s supposed to clean tough dirt and grime, and three, it’s supposed to have a neutral PH balance – meaning that it’s safe to use on all surfaces. So I decided to test it out and see just how well it worked.

I looked at the label and according to the label’s directions, I made two batches of cleaning solution. I made a “regular” batch of solution for ordinary cleaning by using an ounce of the solution with a gallon of water, and I made a “heavy-duty” cleaning solution using 4-ounces of cleaner to a gallon of water. I then proceeded to test this solution on several different surfaces all over my home.

Since this cleaner has a neutral PH, I suspected that it would probably be good on stone surfaces, so I decided to clean the granite counters in my kitchen and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. It did a really good job at cleaning it and it did so without damaging it.

I then tried to use it on my bathroom tile and grout. While it did an okay cleaning job with my tile, I don’t think it did a very good job with my grout – at least not with the “regular” cleaning mix. I had to break out the “heavy-duty” cleaning batch to clean up my grout, so I’m guessing this isn’t the best grout cleaner. All things considered, I think this is a good cleaning solution for granite, marble, stained concrete and marble, but I wouldn’t expect too much out of it for other types of surfaces.

While it did an okay cleaning job with my tile, I don't think it did a very good job with my grout - at least not with the “regular” cleaning mix.

PROS
  • Good scent
  • Good value
  • Great for stone floors
CONS
  • Is just an OK grout cleaner

Bona Pro Stone, Tile & Laminate Cleaner is a cleaner that comes in a one-gallon bottle and stands ready to clean a variety of different stone, tile, and laminate flooring. It’s a professional formula that’s not supposed to leave a dulling residue either. So I put it to the test to see just how well it would perform.

Since this is a ready-to-use product and isn’t concentrated, I decided to use it as such on several different surfaces in my home. I tested it out on my tile and grout, on my vinyl floors, on my linoleum floors and on the tile floors in my bathroom.

Using it on my tile and grout I noticed that it really did a good job with those surfaces. It cleaned both the grout and the tile up and did it quickly and efficiently. In fact, I think it’s one of the best tile cleaner products I’ve used in awhile. It also did a pretty good job on my linoleum and vinyl floors. It got them clean without a whole lot of scrubbing and it didn’t dull the surfaces like some cleaners have the tendency of doing. Pretty good, I would say.

The only surfaces I wouldn’t try this cleaner out on would be any sort of wood surface, either sealed or unsealed or any type of unsealed stone or tile grout. After all, it’s a pretty powerful cleaner and may damage these surfaces, so I didn’t even try them out on them.

In conclusion, I think this is a great product that can be used to clean a variety of tile, stone and laminate surfaces and is one I would recommend to a friend looking for a high-quality cleaner.

Aqua Mix Tile & Grout Cleaner is a professional quality product that’s labeled as a powerful cleaner and degreaser. According to its label, it not only cleans ground-in dirt, grease, and soap scum but will also strip wax and floor surfaces. Of course, the only real way to test the effectiveness of a product is to test it, so that’s exactly what I did.

The first test I did with the product was to see if it could remove the wax buildup off of my floors. Much to my surprise, it not only removed all of this buildup but did it quite quickly and efficiently. It did exactly what it was supposed to do.

I then tested it out on my tile floors. I mopped the floor with it and noticed a difference almost immediately. It seems that this product was not only powerful but was also one of the best tile floor cleaners I’ve used in some time. It just cleaned them up really well.

I then mixed it according to instructions and tackled some of the messes around my house. I tried it out on the soap scum in my bathroom and some mildew stains I had when my basement flooded a few days back. It handled both of those tasks remarkably well. I was quite pleased with it.

Overall, I think this is a great heavy-duty cleaner, although I do have to admit I found it to be somewhat on the more expensive side. I would just be careful using it on more delicate flooring surfaces because this product is quite strong.

Black Diamond Marble & Tile Floor Cleaner is a cleaner that’s supposed to be safe for all porcelain, granite, marble and ceramic surfaces. It’s also a product that’s supposed to provide streak-free cleaning. Of course, the only way to test the veracity of these claims is by testing the product out. And that’s exactly what I did – starting with the granite counters in my kitchen.

Since the product is concentrated, I mixed in 2-ounces of it with a gallon of water and used it on my counters. I noticed that it did a really good job of cleaning the granite and it did it without leaving any streaks. I considered that a successful test, so I took it on a tour of some of the other surfaces in my home.

I used it on the tile and grout in my bathroom, used it on my vinyl and even used it on my linoleum floors. In most instances, it did a pretty good job of cleaning – if the surface wasn’t that dirty, to begin with. However, it there was a lot of ground-in dirt, then I’m afraid that this cleaner just wasn’t powerful enough to tackle it.

That’s the main problem with this cleaner. It does a gentle job of cleaning delicate surfaces, but it’s a little bit too gentle. It just isn’t going to work on heavy-duty messes. It’s just not designed with that in mind.

As you may know about me, I’m always on the lookout for the best tile cleaner products I can find. And while I was looking for such a product, I came across Black Diamond Stone & Tile Intensive Cleaner. It’s a cleaner that is supposed to deep clean tile and grout, so I decided to give it a try.

It’s a concentrated product, so I had to mix it with water but once I had done that I was ready to put it to use in my bathroom. The first thing I cleaned was my bathroom floor and then I moved on to the tile walls in my bathroom.

What I noticed about my extended cleaning excursion in my bathroom is that this product does seem to do a nice deep cleaning job. And it does it safely – if you use it according to directions. Of course, if you have sealed tile or grout, then you may have to reseal it after using this product but I don’t think that was too big of a deal.

And while it does a really good job on tile and grout, I also noticed that it doesn’t clean all surfaces equally. For instance, I tried to use it on my vinyl floor and it left it with a pretty dull surface. And it didn’t do a great job on my vinyl floor either. I think that’s because this product is really just made for natural stone and tile. Overall, I think this is a decent product if you use it for the surfaces it’s made to clean. Which is brick, natural stone, tile, grout, marble, slate, and granite.

Black Diamond Ultimate Grout Cleaner is a cleaning solution that’s designed to handle dirt, grease, oil and grime. It’s also designed to remove soap deposits from natural stone surfaces and to clean up tile and grout. I wanted to see how well it cleaned these surfaces, as well as a few others, so I decided to get it and use it around my house.

During the course of my review, I decided to test this product on a variety of different surfaces all over my home. I tested it out in the kitchen, in the bathroom and in several other spots. What I found out is pretty interesting. What I found out about this product is this: This product does a great job on certain surfaces and a not so hot job on other surfaces.

The things it cleaned well in my home included the tile and grout, soap stains off of natural stone surfaces, soap scum off my shower walls, grease off of my granite counter tops and the dirt off of my tile floor. The jobs it didn’t do well include: removing rust off of one of my pipes, cleaning hard water stains and mold. It will also not brighten up grout that is old or discolored. It also didn’t do a great job on my vinyl and linoleum floors. All in all, I think this is a pretty good product but only if you use it on projects that it’s designed to be cleaned. If you try to clean other types of surfaces, it’s just not going to work so well.

Granite Gold Stone & Tile Floor Cleaner is a cleaning product that’s specifically designed for cleaning stone and tile floors. It’s a cleaner that’s supposed to be PH balanced, non-acidic and can clean 10,000 to 12,000 square feet per bottle. Which is why I decided to give it a good thorough test.

The first thing I did was to add a couple ounces of this product to a bucket of water and then mop my tile, vinyl and linoleum floors with it. And what I discovered is that this product has a very pleasant scent and really does a good job cleaning floors – as long as the dirt on them isn’t too heavy. If there was a lot of dirt, then this product simply wasn’t strong enough to deal with it.

One thing I did like about this product, however, was that it really was a no-rinse product. After I had mopped the floors, I simply had to let it air dry. It didn’t leave any streaks or water spots. It was a good cleaner, I just wish that it had a little bit more of a kick. It seems to me that it’s a product for people who are worried about damaging their marble or natural stone floors and are looking for a gentle cleaner. In that case, then it would probably be a good product to get.

Tile Lab Grout & Tile Cleaner and Resealer is an all-in-one product that is not only supposed to clean your tile and grout but is also supposed to reseal it. Since I’m a big fan of products that do multiple things at once – or are supposed to – I decided to give this product a try and see if it was a good cleaning solution for all that tile in my bathroom.

One of the first things I noticed about this cleaner was that it had a nice citrus scent. The next thing I noticed was that it did a pretty good job of cleaning my tile and grout. It didn’t do as great of a job as some other products but it did get the job done.

While it did a pretty decent job, there were a few areas where it fell short. One of those areas is the price. I think this product is a little more expensive than it needs to be. The second area in which I felt like it fell short was that it kind of left a residue on my tool. Now, I’m not sure if it’s supposed to do that or not since that might be part of the resealer but I didn’t really like it. All things considered, this would be a decent product if those concerns were fixed. Maybe not the best, but somewhere in the middle of the pack.
