Bizond Mini Steamer For Home and Travel Review
I don’t often get too excited by garment steamers, but I actually did find myself getting quite happy over the Bizond Mini Steamer For Home and Travel that I received. That’s because I found that this unit was not only a nice looking unit but also had quite a few great features, too.
The first thing that I noticed about it was that it heated up in under 30-seconds. In fact, I think that it heated up in about 25 or 26 seconds. That’s pretty fast. And once it heated up, I noticed that it provided a continuous blast of steam for about 10-minutes. Sure, that means this steamer doesn’t provide steam for as long as some other units, but I think for a lot of people it’s enough steam to get the job done.
It would probably have provided more steam if it held more water. Unfortunately, it could only hold about 3.3 ounces or about 100 ML of water. Although I do have to say that for holding so little water, it did better than I thought it would.
One of the things I really like about this clothes steamer is that it could be held in just about any position and still deliver steam without leaking or “spitting” water. I was even able to use it upside down and it did a fine job.
Another feature that intrigued me was that it had a “Nano Polymer Filter” that is supposed to allow you to use it with hard water without the pump inside of it being clogged with calcium. While I didn’t have the opportunity to see how this feature worked over the long-term, it seemed to work well for the couple of times I used the unit. Which is a good thing for me because I have very hard water where I live.
I also liked the fact that this steamer had a 6.5-foot cord. While it wasn’t a no-tangle cord, the extra length allowed me to use the unit in ways that wouldn’t be possible with a shorter cord. And anything that makes my life easier I’m willing to embrace.
The last thing I’d like to mention about this portable steamer is that it is indeed travel-size. It’s small and only weighs about 1.4 pounds. Just the right size to throw in a suitcase when you’re traveling. It also makes it easy to hold and use. I sure didn’t have much hand strain with it and that’s for sure.
This might not be the best clothes steamer but it does come pretty close. I do believe it’s something that should be checked out – if it meets your criteria for a clothes steamer. For me, it worked pretty well.
