Dirt Devil Easy Steam Handheld Corded Steam Cleaner Review
Dirt Devil is a popular brand name, so I was pretty eager to check it out and see what it could do. I’m always on the lookout for the best upholstery steamer I could find and before I got this model, I thought that it could’ve been it. It turned out to be a pretty good one, just not one that I’d be comfortable calling the best.
One of the first things I noticed was that it came with some accessories. These included a squeegee tool, upholstery brush, jet-tip extension, a dusting brush and a wire grill brush. Not a large assortment by any stretch of the imagination but enough, I imagine, to get a few jobs done around the home.
After I finished my examination of this model’s accessories, I then added water to it and plugged it in. It took about twelve ounces of water to fill it up, so I assumed that it would only take a couple of minutes to reach operating temperature. However, it took longer than that—twice as long at 4-minutes.
I then used the fabric tool and went to work on my upholstery. While it would’ve been nice if the upholstery tool had been a little bit bigger so I could cover more area at a time, it was sufficient enough for it to handle parts of my couch and sofa. It didn’t do a stellar job but it did get the fabric clean before I ran out of steam.
I also used this little handheld on a few small projects around my house and noticed that it did a pretty good job with those tasks as well. Overall, I think this is a good overall handheld steamer and a suitable upholstery steamer. And what I mean by that is that it won’t knock your socks off but it shouldn’t disappoint you either and will do the job it was intended to do.
