Since I’m always on the lookout for the best grout cleaner I can find, I decided to give Hoover Tile & Grout Plus a chance to prove to me how great of a cleaner it is, so I got myself a bottle and put it to the test on some of the tile and grout in my home. Let’s see how it did, shall we?
Since it’s a concentrate, I followed the directions on the bottle and used one ounce of cleaner to each quart of hot water I put in my hard floor cleaner and used it on my bathroom’s tile floors. I noticed that it did a wonderful job of cleaning my tile and grout. It got up all the stains and left my floor looking real good. In fact, it worked so well I decided to put some in a bottle and try to clean the wall tiles and grout in my bathroom – except this time, I just used the solution and a scrub brush and no cleaning machine. The result I got was pretty shocking.
Much to my surprise, this cleaner really cleaned up the wall tile and grout in my bathroom. It just cleaned them right up without a whole lot of scrubbing. And it did it without a harsh chemical smell or a whole lot of elbow grease. Needless to say, I was quite excited.
Of course, I don’t think I would want to use it on anything other than tile and grout. I tried to clean my vinyl floor with it, but it left portions of it kind of dull, so I decided not to finish. And I already know that this cleaner shouldn’t be used with any unsealed surface, so I didn’t test it out on these surfaces. It’s a great tile & grout cleaner, but it’s not for all surfaces.

- Nice smell
- Cleans grout well
- Not for all floor surfaces
