Light N’ Easy Steam Pocket Mop Review
The Light N’ Easy steam mop is a pocket mop that I’ve been looking forward to reviewing. I’ve noticed that it has gotten a pretty good amount of good reviews on the Internet, so I was pretty fired up to bring it home and see what it could do. As you can imagine, I was pretty excited when I first got it and unpacked it.
From first laying eyes on it, I knew it was going to be a unit that will make itself useful in my home. It was lightweight, compact and could easily be transported around the house. It was a unit that wasn’t built to handle big, messy tasks but was designed to be convenient and easy enough to use for those smaller messes a homeowner often encounters throughout the week.
The first thing I really liked about this mop was that it only weighed 4-pounds and was ergonomically designed to be easy to carry around. I also liked the fact that once I had it filled with water and turned it on, steam was available in about 30-seconds. I then proceeded to use it to clean my floors.
It did a great job on all of my floor surfaces, with just a few exceptions. On my sealed hardwood floors and my linoleum floors, it did a really good job just blasting through messes. On my tiled floors, it did a decent job but I really couldn’t get down into the grout to clean it, so I’d have to say that it isn’t a model I’d recommend for tile and grout cleaning. I also couldn’t use it to clean my carpets because it doesn’t come with a carpet glider. That’s an accessory that needs to be purchased separately.
Taking everything into consideration, I have to say that this pocket mop is a decent one for picking up those occasional messes such as spilled drinks, pet accidents and the like but I wouldn’t recommend it for heavy-duty cleaning. It probably would be a good mop for small spaces or apartments, too. It’s an inexpensive unit that does a good job when used for the tasks it excels at doing.
