McCulloch MC1275 Heavy-Duty Steam Cleaner Review (Upholstery)
Once again, the McCulloch MC1275 Heavy-Duty Steam Cleaner has once again shown it is a capable steam cleaner canister. It made it to the number two position on my article for the best cleaners for hardwood floors and it made it to the number 1 position on this list. Which is no surprise, this is a good little system.
This 1500 watt unit produces 45 minutes of high-pressure steam. Which is both a good thing and a bad thing. It’s good because it has the power to blast through just about any upholstery stain. However, I would be wary of using it on some surfaces for fear of ruining the surface. For example, I haven’t used it on my microfiber love-seat and I’m not sure I would for fear of damaging it.
One thing that I really like about this system is that it comes with an array of accessories – 18 in all. Some of the accessories you’ll find with this unit include: nylon brushes, brass brushes, mop pads, tipped jet nozzle, mop head, triangular brush, squeegee and a scrub pad. While some of these attachments are too tough to use on upholstery, there is still more than enough to clean most fabrics.
Of course, the McCulloch MC1275 Heavy-Duty Steam Cleaner also has its drawbacks. It can be a pain to fill. At least, it was in the beginning until I went and bought a funnel for it. However, I still think it is an excellent unit to consider for cleaning your upholstery.
