O-Cedar Ultra Max Microfiber Flat Mop & Bucket Kit Review
The O-Cedar Ultra Max Microfiber Flat Mop & Bucket Kit is a mop and bucket system that attempts to make it easier for you to mop your floors. And while there were some things I really liked about this system, there were, unfortunately, a few things that kind of put me off. So let’s delve into the things that I really like about this mop and bucket set and the things I really didn’t like.
The very first thing that I noticed about the mop was that the handle was shorter than I thought it would be. It was only about 50-inches long – which was okay for me to use for my regular chores but didn’t really give me a whole lot of reach. Not the kind of reach I’m used to at least. The mop was also fairly light, which would’ve made it easy to use if the mop worked in the way it was designed.
My biggest complaint is how you have to use the mop to wring it out. You have to step on a lever while simultaneously pulling the handle up to get the mop head to fold up. Then once it’s folded up, you can place it in the wringer and it’s there you can wring out the water. Unfortunately, the system didn’t work for me as well as I would’ve liked. I had problems pressing it with my foot, so I would often have to use my hand to press the lever so I could fold it up to wring it out. Which defeats the whole point of the system. Maybe it’s just me but I don’t think this mop was designed as well as it could’ve been and this added to my cleaning time.
As far as cleaning goes, however, I thought it did a great job. It cleaned my sealed hardwood floors, my linoleum, and my vinyl floors. While it might not be the best mop for tile floors, I still think that it did more than a decent job. Only a few design flaws kept this from becoming a really awesome mop set and that’s just a pity.
