I’m familiar with other Sheiner’s cleaning products, particularly their floor cleaners, so I was a bit anxious to get my hands on Sheiner’s Hardwood Floor Cleaner. When I finally did I was expecting a product that could clean laminate and wood floors well. This review is what I discovered.
This is a product that is supposed to be good for not only laminate surfaces but also wood surfaces – including furniture – so I decided to put it through its paces and see if it really could clean all of these surfaces easily and efficiently. I started off with my sealed wood floors and my laminate wood floors first.
Since this product isn’t a concentrate, I used it full-strength on my floors. I noticed that it not only did a good job of cleaning dirt but that it also dried pretty quickly as well. And I also really liked the scent it had. It had sort of a citrus scent that was light and didn’t smell like chemicals. I like that in a cleaner.
Of course, while it did clean the floors well, it didn’t give them the big shine I was expecting. Now, don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying it dulled the floors or left streaks because it didn’t. It just didn’t leave as nice of a shine as other floor cleaning products have.
I also test this cleaner out on some of my wood furniture and cabinets and noticed that it did a really good job cleaning these surfaces. It didn’t polish them but it cleaned them well without stripping off their surfaces or staining them. This extends this product’s cleaning potential.
Overall, while this product may not be the best laminate floor cleaner I’ve ever used, it’s still a pretty good one and does a decent job on not only laminates but also on wood and wood surfaces.
