Steamfast SF-375 Deluxe Canister Steam Cleaner Review

The Steamfast SF-375 Deluxe Canister Steam Cleaner is a unit that looks like a leaf blower with wheels. At least, that’s what it looks like to me. However, what a steam canister looks like usually has little bearing on how the unit operates. The only way to see how it performs is to take a close look at it and see if it can handle the tough chores around my house.

When I unpacked this steam canister, one of the first things I noticed and liked about it was that it had a decent amount of accessories. It had about 18 of them all together – everything from nylon utility brushes and a brass utility brush to an angled nozzle to a large mop head. It seems like it has just about everything to get the job done, including extension wands and a squeegee. Now, let’s see how this unit operates.

After adding water to it and turning it on, it took about 10-minutes to heat up. Which is about standard for most good canister steamers. However, what isn’t usually standard is this unit’s 90-minute operation time. Yes, you read that correctly, this unit ran for about twice as long as a comparable steam cleaner. That’s quite a bit of steam.

Of course, it doesn’t pressurize the steam as much as the McCulloch MC1375 but it did give some pretty hot high-pressure steam. And that is why I rated this unit with the same rating as that other unit. Because one of them provides very high-pressure steam for a shorter period of time and this one provides a lower amount of steam pressure for a longer period of time. Which is more important to you? Once you’ve answered that question, you can decide between the two.

The only real problem I have with this system is that the hose gets warm after extended use. Which I don’t think is a deal breaker. Sure, it would have been nice to have an insulated hose but this inconvenience is not enough for me to significantly lower the score on this unit. It just has too much going for it.

Without a doubt, this is one of the best canisters cleaners on the market today. Especially, if you value a unit that produces a whole lot of steam over a long period of time.
