When I first saw TriNova Leather Conditioner and Cleaner in an 18-ounce bottle, I thought that it looked more like shampoo than it did a product that cleans and conditions leather. And while it ended up not being the best leather conditioner I’ve used, I did think that it was a pretty good one that’s worth a look.
This product cleans and conditions, or is supposed to do those things, so I reviewed it with that in mind. I tested it on a number of different products which included my leather gloves and purse, a leather sofa and a leather-topped table. I then wrote down all of my results. Here is what I discovered.
This cleaner comes out of the bottle kind of thin – at least, in my opinion. And as a result, I don’t think it did as good a job at cleaning the leather as it should have. It would eventually clean the leather but I would have to use quite a bit of elbow grease. A lot more than I would have liked.
It also had an unpleasant smell I didn’t like at all. That smell went away after awhile but it was pretty sharp to my nose while I was applying it. As far as putting a shine on my leather, I think it did a decent job but not an exceptional one.
I’m not trying to overly criticize this product, however. After all, it is easy to use and once applied does protect the leather well. It just doesn’t do the rest well enough to climb up my list any further. Unfortunately, that’s just the way it is.
