Vacmaster 12-Gallon Wet/Dry Vac (VBV1210) Review
Finding the best wet dry vacuum is not an easy task and I found that out first hand. After I found the ones that I thought would be really good to use around my home, I then had to try them out for myself. Fortunately, that task was made a whole lot enjoyable thanks to the Vacmaster 12-Gallon Wet/Dry Vac (VBV1210).
And to be honest, it was a wet/dry vac that my husband really loved. He loved it so much because it could not only be used for its primary purpose as a vacuum but also because it also doubles as a leaf blower. Just one press of the release button and he was able to blow the leaves that had gathered in our driveway. It is able to replace two different pieces of equipment – a wet/dry vac and a leaf blower – really helps justify the cost of it. A cost which was a little bit higher than other units on the market today.
Its leaf blower could blow at about 240 miles per hour. That’s more than powerful enough for its leaf blowing capability to come out as a winner. Of course, it’s limited by a cord and really can’t compete with gas or cordless leaf blowers but I still think it does its job fairly well.
This machine came with a number of accessories which really made it useful around the house. It came with a 7-foot hose that was 2.5-inches in diameter. It also came with a blower nozzle, a crevice tool, two extension wands, 8-inch utility nozzle and a cartridge filter with a foam sleeve. Right out of the box, it looked like it was made to handle any chore I could hope to use it for.
As far as performance goes, I think that this unit is on top of its game. It not only did an excellent job at picking up dry messes such as cereal, sawdust and even the sticky balls from my sweet gum tree. It also did a flawless job of picking up spilled liquids. In essence, this machine performed really well. It’s 5 horsepower engine was strong enough to do all of the tasks I asked it to do.
Another thing that I liked about the Vacmaster is that it came with an extremely large drain port. This allowed me to easily and effortlessly let out the water it had sucked up during my cleaning test. I didn’t have to fumble with trying to tip it over, I just had to undo the plug and drain it.
Now that I’ve spent quite a bit of time with this wet/dry vac – both in my garage, in my yard and around my house – I’ve come to the conclusion that it’s one of the best wet-dry vacuums I’ve used so far. It’s sturdy, well-built and just gets the job done. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who was looking for a good vacuum that could be used for wet and dry applications.
